Palace Respects Polri's Investigation into Three Corruption Cases, Affirms Prabowo's Commitment to Eradicate Corruption

tangsellife.com – The Presidential Palace affirmed its support for the National Police's steps in investigating three cases of alleged corruption. The government stated it respects all ongoing legal processes while reiterating President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to eradicating corruption.

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said the public needs to respect the law enforcement process and uphold the principle of presumed innocence.

Palace Asks Public to Respect Legal Process

Prasetyo emphasized that the government will not interfere with the investigation process carried out by law enforcement officials.

"We all respect every legal process being carried out by Law Enforcement Officials (APH), in this case the Police. We also uphold the principle of presumed innocence to avoid unproductive speculation or judgment," said Prasetyo, Friday (10/7/2026).

According to him, the legal process must be carried out professionally to provide legal certainty for all parties.

Prabowo Reiterates Commitment to Eradicate Corruption

Prasetyo conveyed that President Prabowo Subianto, since the beginning of his administration, has emphasized the importance of building a clean and integrity-based government.

He said all state apparatus are continuously reminded to make improvements before legal action is taken.

"From the beginning, Mr. President has had a very strong commitment to eradicating corruption. He has repeatedly reminded all levels of government, especially state apparatus, to immediately reform and cleanse themselves before law enforcement or cleansing actions are taken," he said.

Prasetyo also emphasized that corruption remains one of the major problems that must be consistently resolved.

"Corruption is one of this nation's biggest homework. But we must not give up. We must continue to improve governance, strengthen integrity, and build a clean government," he said.

National Police Investigating Three Alleged Corruption Cases

Previously, the National Police conducted searches at several locations, including a cafe in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, and a house in Sentul, Bogor Regency. During these searches, investigators seized several pieces of evidence, including gold bars and a large amount of cash.

Head of the National Police's Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) Inspector General Totok Suharyanto explained that the investigation is being conducted through a joint investigation scheme with the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

The three cases being investigated include:

  • Alleged corruption in coal procurement at PLN, suspected to be related to a blackout incident.
  • Alleged corruption in the handling of PT ASABRI and PT Asuransi Jiwasraya cases for the period 2020–2025.
  • Alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) in the settlement of PT CBS's debt to PT KNI, a subsidiary of state-owned enterprise Krakatau Steel.

To date, investigators are still delving into these cases and have not yet announced the identities of those named as suspects.

Government Invites Public to Maintain National Stability

Amidst the ongoing legal process, Prasetyo invited all elements of society to maintain conduciveness and unity.

According to him, national stability is an important capital for accelerating development and improving public welfare.

"Only with a safe, united, and trusting atmosphere can we solve various national problems and accelerate the implementation of development programs for the welfare of all Indonesian people," he concluded.
