Tangsellife.com - The Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) City Government officially opened the Third Phase of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for Public Junior High Schools for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Registration will take place from July 6 to 8, 2026.

In this final phase, registration is open through the Affirmation Pathway and the Disability Pathway. In addition, the Tangsel City Government is again providing the option of accompanying private junior high schools for prospective students who have not been accepted into public schools.

City Government Prepares 2,997 Seats for Affirmation Pathway

The Head of the Tangerang Selatan City Education and Culture Office (Dikbud), Deden Deni, stated that the government has prepared 2,997 seats for the Affirmation Pathway as an effort to expand educational access for eligible community members.

"We have officially opened the Third Phase of SPMB for the Affirmation and Disability Pathways. We invite all parents and prospective students who meet the requirements to immediately take advantage of this opportunity by registering according to the established schedule," said Deden.

Registration is conducted online through the official SPMB website of Tangerang Selatan City. The selection results are scheduled to be announced on July 9, 2026, while the re-registration process will take place on July 10, 2026.

Requirements for Affirmation and Disability Pathways

Deden explained that the Affirmation Pathway is intended for prospective students from families receiving government poverty alleviation programs.

The required qualifications include:

  • A statement letter as a recipient of the Family Hope Program (PKH).
  • Proof of ownership of an Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) or other supporting documents in accordance with regulations.

Meanwhile, participants of the Disability Pathway must attach a disability card or a letter of recommendation from a doctor or psychologist explaining the prospective student's disability condition.

Accompanying Private Junior High Schools Prepared Again

In addition to opening the Affirmation and Disability Pathways, the Tangsel City Government is again partnering with accompanying private junior high schools to accommodate students who have not been successfully selected for public junior high schools.

This policy is expected to ensure that all school-aged children continue to have access to education.

Dikbud Opens Complaint Hotline

After registering online, participants are required to download proof of registration for verification by the committee of the target school.

The committee will then conduct document verification, a plenary meeting to determine selection results, preparation of minutes, and issuance of decrees before the results are announced.

To assist the public during the registration process, Dikbud Tangsel provides a hotline service at 0851-9628-0598 and a Complaint Post at the Office of the Tangerang Selatan City Education and Culture Department.

"If there are any difficulties during the registration process, we have prepared hotline services and complaint posts so that the entire SPMB process runs smoothly, transparently, and no prospective students experience technical issues," said Deden.

Dikbud hopes that the implementation of the Third Phase of SPMB will proceed smoothly so that all prospective students have the opportunity to continue their education, either in public junior high schools or the accompanying private junior high schools prepared by the local government.
