Tangsel City Government Ensures Pajero Sport Operational White Plates Comply with Regulations
Tangsellife.com - The Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) City Government has provided clarification regarding public scrutiny over the use of white license plates on an operational Pajero Sport Dakar Ultimate vehicle with police number B 1036 WQH.
The City Government emphasizes that the vehicle is administratively valid, officially registered, and its use of vehicle registration plates complies with the latest regulations issued by the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police.
The Head of the Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) of Tangsel City, TB Asep Nardin, stated that the use of these license plates does not violate applicable provisions.
According to him, based on Indonesian National Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 7 of 2021 concerning Registration and Identification of Motor Vehicles, there has been a national change in the system and color zoning of Vehicle Registration Plates (TNKB).
"We highly appreciate the attention and control function from the public. This is proof of citizens' love for the governance of regional assets. However, we need to clarify this to avoid distortion of information, that the operational vehicle is officially registered administratively at Samsat and its plate usage follows the transition to the latest rules," said Asep in his statement on Sunday (28/6/2026).
White Plates Comply with Latest Regulations
Asep explained that the latest regulations allow government agency operational vehicles to use registration numbers adjusted to operational needs or official security aspects, as long as all administrative and legal requirements are met.
He also emphasized that the car is used entirely to support government activities in providing services to the community.
"The car is used to support official operational mobility within the Tangsel City Government. The intensity of field activities is very high, so the availability of a ready-to-use and legally valid operational vehicle is absolute," he said.
City Government Ensures Assets are Managed Accountably
The Tangsel City Government ensures that all official vehicle assets are officially recorded and managed accountably.
"Our hope is that the public does not need to worry about the legality or function. All movable assets belonging to the Tangsel City Government, including this operational vehicle, are ensured to be well-recorded, used responsibly, and fully dedicated to serving the interests of Tangsel residents," said Asep.
The City Government also invites the public to continue to oversee the running of the government constructively by prioritizing complete and accurate information.
