DPRD Tangsel to Summon Dinkes Over Scrutinized Rp5 Million Faucet Procurement
Tangsellife.com - The discovery of faucet procurement worth more than Rp5 million per unit within the Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) City Health Office (Dinkes) will be investigated by the DPRD. Commission II of the Tangsel DPRD has confirmed it will summon the Health Office to request an explanation regarding the findings listed in the Audit Report (LHP) from the Banten Representative Audit Board (BPK).
The Head of Commission II of the Tangsel DPRD, Ricky Yuanda Bastian, stated that his party had just received information about the findings and would request direct clarification from the Health Office.
"Generally, we have just received information about this. We will investigate and plan to summon the Health Office to request an explanation. We also need to hear the explanation from the Health Office first," said Ricky, Tuesday (7/7/2026).
BPK Finds Faucet Procurement at Rp5.15 Million per Unit
In the BPK's LHP, it is stated that there was the procurement of 10 units of faucets with a value of Rp5,150,400 per unit within the Tangerang Selatan City Health Office.
The procurement value has drawn public attention as it is considered much higher than the price of premium faucets widely sold in the market, which are generally below Rp200 thousand per unit.
The price difference raises various questions regarding the product specifications and the procurement mechanism.
Health Office Still Investigating BPK Findings
Responding to this, the Head of the Tangerang Selatan City Health Office, Allin Hendarlin Mahdaniar, admitted that internal checks are still being conducted.
"Let me check first. From my end, it appears to be within the Health Office, but whether it's at a hospital or elsewhere, as it all comes under us. I will check first," said Allin.
To date, the Health Office has not provided a detailed explanation regarding the faucet specifications or the reasons for the procurement value listed in the BPK report.
BPK Provides Several Recommendations
Based on these findings, the BPK recommended that the Mayor of Tangerang Selatan instruct the Regional Secretary, as the Head of the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), to be more meticulous in verifying the Work Plan and Budget (RKA) and the Budget Implementation Documents (DPA/DPPA) of regional perangkat daerah.
In addition, all heads of regional perangkat daerah are requested to comply with the expenditure classifications in budget preparation in accordance with applicable regulations.
In the 2025 Fiscal Year financial report, the Tangsel City Government budgeted for goods and services expenditure of Rp1.79 trillion with a realization of Rp1.63 trillion or 90.84 percent. Meanwhile, capital expenditure was budgeted at Rp1.45 trillion with a realization of Rp1.35 trillion or 93.26 percent.
