He emphasized that Jakarta's economy growing by 5.59 percent is proof of the capital's resilience as a driver of national economic growth, despite facing global geopolitical dynamics.

Pramono explained that Jakarta's economy grew by 5.59 percent year-on-year (yoy) and contributed 16.67 percent to the national economy.

In addition, investment realization in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp270 trillion, which further strengthened regional economic stability.

Jakarta's Economy Grows 5.59 Percent with Controlled Inflation

According to Pramono, Jakarta's economy grew by 5.59 percent in line with inflation which remained controlled at 2.45 percent throughout 2025.

He assessed that inflation stability is an important factor in maintaining public purchasing power and the sustainability of economic growth.

Jakarta's Economy Grows 5.59 Percent Through Social Programs

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also strengthened various social programs to support Jakarta's economy growing by 5.59 percent, including the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP Plus) for over 707 thousand students and the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) for over 15 thousand students.

In addition, the government also runs a diploma legalization program and expands employment opportunities through labor-intensive projects.

Pramono added that Jakarta's economy growing by 5.59 percent is also supported by the expansion of public services, including free transportation for 15 categories of people.

On the occasion of Jakarta's 499th anniversary, the DKI Provincial Government also offered free public transportation and access to several tourist attractions on specific dates.

Although Jakarta's economy grew by 5.59 percent, Pramono emphasized that the government continues to implement efficiency and refine priority programs to face global pressures.
