Good News! Three New Flyovers to be Built Soon in Tangsel
Tangsellife.com - Good news for road users in South Tangerang City (Tangsel). The government, together with the central government, is preparing the construction of three flyovers at several level railway crossings that have been traffic congestion points.
The project is expected to reduce vehicle queues and improve road user safety in areas that are crowded with community activities every day.
Three Flyover Locations in Tangsel
Member of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Fauzi, revealed that the three planned flyovers are located at:
- Pasar Serpong
- Pasar Jombang
- Pondok Ranji, Ciputat Timur District
In addition to Tangsel, another flyover project is also planned to be built in the Pasar Rangkasbitung area, Lebak Regency.
"I am very grateful for this and I will immediately launch, strive to meet with the Governor of Banten, the Mayor of South Tangerang, and the Regent of Lebak, so that the land can be resolved soon. If the land is prepared, I think the construction will be much easier," said Ahmad Fauzi, quoted from the DPR RI website.
Land Acquisition is an Important Stage
According to Fauzi, the target for the completion of the construction is set for 2027. However, before the project begins, the local government must first complete the land acquisition process.
Once the land is available, the physical construction will be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and PT KAI in accordance with their authorities.
He considers the construction of flyovers and underpasses to be an urgent need to overcome traffic congestion and prevent accidents at level crossings.
Reduce Congestion and Improve Safety
The existence of level crossings at several points in Tangsel has been one of the causes of traffic congestion, especially during peak hours when the frequency of KRL (commuter train) journeys is very high.
With the flyovers, vehicle flow will no longer be obstructed when the train gates are closed. In addition to reducing travel time, the project is also expected to reduce the risk of accidents between vehicles and trains.
The construction of this infrastructure is part of an effort to improve connectivity and smooth community mobility in South Tangerang City, which continues to develop as a buffer zone for the capital.
