Tangsel Mayor Responds to DPRD Faction's Criticism of 2025 Budget
Tangsellife.com - Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) Benyamin Davnie delivered an official response to the general views of the South Tangerang Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) factions regarding the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on the Accountability of the 2025 Fiscal Year Budget Implementation.
The statement was made during a plenary meeting of the South Tangerang DPRD held at the DPRD Building, Setu District, Monday (22/6).
South Tangerang City Government Appreciates DPRD's Input
In the meeting, Benyamin expressed his appreciation to all factions of the South Tangerang DPRD for their various inputs, suggestions, and recommendations regarding the implementation of the 2025 budget.
He emphasized that all notes from the legislative body would be used as evaluation material to improve the quality of regional development.
“All these inputs will be given attention and used as evaluation material so that development can be further improved to realize community welfare,” said Benyamin.
Tangsel Achieves WTP for the 14th Time
Benyamin also presented a number of performance achievements of the South Tangerang City Government. One of them is the success in achieving the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) for the 14th consecutive time.
In addition, the completion rate of Follow-up on Audit Findings (TLHP) from BPK RI was recorded at 97.20 percent.
Meanwhile, the Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD) of South Tangerang City successfully exceeded its target with an achievement of 107.34 percent.
Transfer Revenue Realization Not Yet Optimal
Nevertheless, Benyamin admitted that there were still shortcomings in the Transfer Revenue target of Rp74.41 billion.
This condition was influenced by the fund disbursement mechanism from the central government and the Banten Provincial Government, including revenue sharing funds such as motor vehicle fuel tax, cigarette tax, and surface water tax.
“Some of the transfer funds have not been fully received by the end of the fiscal year,” he explained.
Encouraging Regional Fiscal Independence
The South Tangerang City Government, continued Benyamin, continues to strive to strengthen regional fiscal independence through optimizing PAD, efficient spending, and digitalization of the regional taxation system.
Various innovations have been made, such as online property tax (PBB) and land and building transfer duty (BPHTB), e-SPPT, NIB-NOP integration, online SKRD, to the PAD Booster Digital application.
In addition, the City Government also carries out tax data updates, explores new PAD potentials, and optimizes unproductive regional assets.
APBD Focus on Residents' Needs
In budget management, Benyamin emphasized that any budget reallocation is carried out transparently and in accordance with regulations.
The APBD focus is directed at strategic sectors such as flood control, road construction, basic services, and other priority programs.
“Budget reallocation is carried out based on real needs and the urgency of development programs,” he asserted.
Strengthening Regional Financial and Asset Systems
The South Tangerang City Government is also committed to strengthening the integration of planning and budgeting systems through e-planning, e-budgeting, and digitalization of regional assets.
This step is taken to improve data accuracy, accelerate land asset certification, and optimize the utilization of regional assets to impact PAD increase.
