Roy Suryo's House in Bintaro Quiet After Arrest, Wife Leaves Residence for Polda Metro Jaya

Tangsellife.com - The atmosphere at the residence of telematics expert Roy Suryo in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, appeared quiet following his arrest by investigators from the Polda Metro Jaya in connection with the alleged case of spreading information about President Joko Widodo's diploma.

Monitoring at the location on Friday (19/6/2026) afternoon, Roy Suryo's three-story house appeared tightly closed. The black iron gate was locked, while several vehicles were still seen parked in the yard.

The housing security officer, Suhanda (69), said that the house is currently empty after Roy Suryo's wife, Ririen, left the residence since the morning.

"Mrs. Ririen left around 09.00 WIB. She said she was going to follow to Polda Metro Jaya," Suhanda told reporters.

According to Suhanda, before leaving, Ririen also asked the security officers to increase surveillance of the house and not to allow anyone to enter without family permission.

He admitted to only knowing about Roy Suryo's arrest when he started his shift at 08.00 WIB. He obtained the information from the security officer on duty at night.

Despite being in the public spotlight, Suhanda remembers Roy Suryo as a friendly figure to residents and security officers in the housing complex.

"When leaving or returning, he often greeted us. He cared about the environment and security officers," he said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by another security officer, Saiful (43). He considered Roy Suryo to be a resident who was quite active in environmental activities, including activities at the mosque around the housing complex.

"He is also active at the mosque. Because the housing complex has only one entrance and exit, we meet almost every day," he said.

Currently, the security team claims to be continuously monitoring the area around the house as requested by the family. As of Friday afternoon, the situation at the location was observed to be conducive without any striking activities.

"The house is empty now. The wife has left to follow the husband to Polda. The condition is quiet and safe," Saiful concluded.
