BSPS Tangsel Renovates Ciputat Homes, Residents Delighted
The Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) in South Tangerang targets 30 homes in Ciputat. Deputy Speaker of the South Tangerang DPRD, Maria Teresa Suhardja, directly oversaw the program.
Tangsellife.com - Deputy Speaker of the Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) City DPRD, Maria Teresa Suhardja, directly oversaw the implementation of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Program (BSPS) or house renovation in the Jombang area, Ciputat.
The program, which is a central government initiative, targets at least 30 houses of residents deemed unfit for habitation to be repaired to become healthier, safer, and more comfortable.
Maria stated that the BSPS program is a form of government attention to the community that still has limitations in improving their home conditions.
“I express my gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for the presence of the BSPS Program, which is very beneficial for the community,” said Maria in her statement on Monday (21/6/2026).
According to her, the program not only impacts the physical improvement of houses but also brings changes in the quality of life for the beneficiaries.
She also admitted to feeling happy when she saw firsthand the results of the residents' house renovations, which are now much more habitable than before.
“Seeing the results of the construction and the residents' happiness firsthand makes me happy and touched. I hope this program continues and helps even more people,” she said.
One of the beneficiaries, Muslimah, admitted to being greatly helped by the BSPS program. Her house, which used to leak during rain, has now been repaired and no longer leaks.
She expressed her gratitude to the government for the assistance provided.
“Thank you to President Prabowo. My house, which used to leak and often flood, no longer leaks,” said Muslimah.
The BSPS program is expected to continue so that more low-income residents in Tangerang Selatan can have decent housing.
