Tangsellife.com - The 15th Chairman of the MPR RI and Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet, appreciates the resilience of West Java's economy growing strong amidst global economic pressures.

According to him, West Java's economy growing strong is proof that the region is able to survive and continue to develop even though the world is facing trade slowdowns, geopolitical conflicts, and fluctuations in global commodity prices.

Bamsoet stated that West Java's economy growing strong in 2025 even surpassed the national figure of around 5.11 percent, with inflation remaining controlled at 2.63 percent.

“This achievement shows that West Java's economic foundation is very strong,” he said.

He emphasized that this stability is an important indicator that the region's economic structure is becoming more robust amidst global pressures.

According to Bamsoet, West Java's economy growing strong is supported by the processing industry, trade, logistics, construction, and investment sectors.

Industrial areas such as Karawang, Bekasi, Purwakarta, Subang, and the Rebana area are magnets for new investment, especially in the automotive, electric vehicle, electronics, and technology-based industries.

Bamsoet highlighted West Java's inflation at 2.63 percent, lower than the national inflation of 2.92 percent. According to him, this condition is very important for maintaining people's purchasing power.

“Controlled inflation keeps purchasing power stable and increases investor confidence,” he said.

Although West Java's economy growing strong, Bamsoet warned that there are still many challenges ahead, ranging from global economic slowdowns, trade protectionism, to technological disruptions.
