Uproar on X! UBK Student Council President Allegedly Received Rp300 Million After Meeting Gibran, Here Are the Facts

The circulating issue mentions allegations of a bribe amounting to Rp300 million to the Head of BEM of the Faculty of Law UBK, Muhammad Abdi Maludin, following a meeting with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Accusations Go Viral on Social Media

The account @fuhrer**** was one of the first to spread these accusations. In its post, it mentioned a fund flow of Rp300 million and called for firm action against the parties involved.

The statement immediately triggered a heated debate on social media and spread rapidly in a short time.

Meeting with Vice President Gibran

Previously, on June 15, 2026, a number of students from UBK and MH Thamrin University participated in a protest in the Patung Kuda area, Jakarta.

After the protest, they were invited for a dialogue at the Vice Presidential Palace and presented six demands directly to Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

However, after the meeting, a wild narrative emerged claiming a change in attitude from the student representatives.

Clarification Video Emerges, Funds Only Rp1.5–2 Million

Amidst the widespread Rp300 million issue, an interrogation video also went viral on social media. In the video, the Head of BEM FH UBK admitted to receiving funds, but the amount was stated to be only around Rp1.5–2 million.

He stated that the funds were used for the logistical needs of the protest activities.

No Evidence of Rp300 Million Bribe Yet

As of now, there is no legal evidence to support the claim that the Rp300 million fund originated from Vice President Gibran or constituted a bribe.

The campus authorities and the student alliance are still investigating the source of the funds circulating in the issue.
